Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health needs
• Provide individual and group therapy informed by evidence-based practices
• Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans and document progress clearly
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, facility staff, and community resources
• Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning when needed
• Support discharge planning and referrals to continued care in the community

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license; California licensure preferred
• Experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment, especially within institutional or correctional settings is a strong plus
• Comfort working Tuesday–Friday day shifts and participating in onsite orientation
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and case management skills
• Able to pass required background checks and meet facility credentialing requirements

Education

• Master of Social Work (MSW) required
• Active LCSW licensure in California required or pending with clear pathway to obtain

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in evidence-based interventions for substance use and co-occurring disorders
• Proficient in clinical documentation and treatment planning
• Good judgment in crisis management and risk assessment
• Collaborative communication with clinical teams and correctional staff
• Culturally competent, trauma-informed care approach
