Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding and mobility while maintaining dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and promptly in resident charts
• Support safe transfer and positioning techniques to prevent injury
• Collaborate with nurses and multidisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect residents and staff
• Engage residents with respect, patience, and a positive attitude

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Certification or eligibility to practice in New Mexico preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Comfortable working consistent night shifts (Wednesday-Friday)
• Customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Proper documentation and charting practices
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Teamwork, time management, and effective communication
