Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' mobility, function, and pain to create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve strength, balance, and independence
• Collaborate with nurses, occupational therapists, physicians, and support staff to coordinate care
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes clearly and timely in the charting system
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and safe techniques to sustain gains
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Pennsylvania (or eligible to obtain)
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program and active PT credentials
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable with inpatient/rehab settings and working with diverse caseloads
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred (new grads who are confident and supervised may be considered)

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or equivalent degree from an accredited program
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and gait training
• Proficient with patient assessment techniques and developing measurable goals
• Familiarity with documentation best practices and electronic medical records
• Good clinical reasoning and ability to prioritize patient caseloads
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient education and family communication
• Ability to adapt treatment plans and work efficiently in a fast-paced rehab environment
