Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy care for the rehabilitation population at Powerback
• Perform thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans that promote functional gains
• Deliver hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercise, and mobility training to maximize patient independence
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in the facility EMR to support care continuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate discharge planning and optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and ongoing recovery strategies

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or similar settings preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning skills and ability to manage a varied caseload
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physical Therapy acceptable in some cases
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, goal-setting, and outcome-driven treatment planning
• Proficiency with therapeutic modalities, manual techniques, and mobility training
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records and meeting regulatory standards
• Strong infection control practices and safe patient handling techniques
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers in an approachable, motivating way
