Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans
• Implement evidence-based interventions to improve activities of daily living and independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and support successful discharge planning
• Document clinical progress clearly and timely in the patient record
• Advocate for patient needs and recommend appropriate adaptive equipment or home modifications

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in California (required)
• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master's or OTD preferred)
• Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Professional liability insurance (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable traveling to and working on a 13-week contract assignment
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Education

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or OTD preferred; entry-level candidates with appropriate licensure considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and intervention planning
• Experience with adaptive equipment and home modification recommendations
• Proficient in therapeutic activity design and functional task training
• Familiarity with common EMR systems and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to collaborate effectively with PTs, SLPs, nurses, and case managers
• Strong patient and family education skills with a person-centered approach
