Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients' functional status and needs using thorough clinical assessments and standardized tools
Develop individualized treatment plans focused on maximizing independence and functional potential
Implement therapeutic procedures and prescribe appropriate assistive devices to support everyday activities
Monitor patient progress and modify plans of care based on response and physician orders
Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes clearly and timely in accordance with facility policy
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the rehabilitation team to coordinate patient-centered care

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required as listed)
Current California Occupational Therapist License (must be active and in good standing)
Ability to evaluate and treat patients under physician orders as described in the job summary
Familiarity with the State Practice Act and the ability to practice in accordance with it
Available to work full-time day hours during the assignment window

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy

Patient evaluation and clinical assessment

Therapeutic procedures and techniques
Selection and training in assistive devices
Understanding and application of the State Practice Act
Clinical documentation and interdisciplinary communication
