Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to walk-in clinic patients within the scope of LPN licensure, ensuring safe, compassionate treatment
Perform patient assessments and take vital signs to inform timely clinical decisions
Triage patient calls and determine appropriate next steps or escalation to providers
Manage prescription refills and complete necessary prior authorizations accurately and promptly
Serve as a primary liaison between patients, providers and clinic staff to coordinate care smoothly
Support and direct CNAs and schedulers as needed to maintain efficient clinic flow
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including RNs, providers and clinical managers to meet patient needs
Follow state and federal licensure requirements and participate in required continuing education

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (required)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (LPN)
Experience in clinic nursing, triage, taking vital signs, and patient assessment
Comfort handling prescription refills and prior authorization processes
Demonstrated ability to provide direction to CNAs and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
Good communication and organizational skills

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside skills
Proficient in triage and clinical assessment
Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
Familiarity with prior authorization and prescription refill workflows
Solid teamwork, supervision and interdisciplinary collaboration
Basic Life Support (BLS) knowledge and practice
