Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on personal care and assist patients with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe and clean patient environments through proper infection control
Assist with patient mobility and transfers, using safe body mechanics
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with colleagues
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in California (required)
High school diploma or GED preferred
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required based on facility policy
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively

Education

High school diploma or GED; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
Taking and recording vital signs accurately
Infection control and safe handling techniques
Basic documentation and charting skills
Strong teamwork, time management, and communication abilities
Comfort with learning facility-specific procedures during orientation
