Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans to help patients regain independence
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities tailored to their goals
Document patient progress and communicate with the therapy team to adjust care
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
Contribute to a positive, healing environment in a skilled nursing facility

Qualifications

Current state license as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in Connecticut
Associate's degree from an accredited COTA program
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate patient care approach
Ability to work effectively with older adults in a long-term care setting

Knowledge & Skills

Rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic exercises
Patient documentation and electronic medical records
Adaptive equipment and activities of daily living training
Time management and organizational skills
Collaborative care within a multidisciplinary team
