Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and monitor patient condition throughout the shift
• Administer medications and document responses according to facility policies
• Perform routine assessments, take vital signs, and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and support staff to implement care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely charting in the electronic medical record
• Support patients with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and comfort
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers with professionalism and attention to detail
• Adhere to infection control practices and facility safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license—ability to practice in New Mexico preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding
• Comfort working 12-hour evening and overnight shifts on scheduled weekend days
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program or equivalent diploma/certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Skilled at patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, and documentation
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety best practices
• Good time management, prioritization, and crisis-response skills
• Compassionate patient interaction and clear communication with families and teammates
