Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in the Casa Real area, focusing on safety and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly in the resident chart
• Monitor resident conditions, report changes promptly, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with ADLs (activities of daily living) and promote independence whenever possible
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes with clear communication and clinical competence
• Follow facility policies and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in New Mexico (or compact/multi-state as applicable) — required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required
• Experience working night shifts and weekends; comfortable with overnight resident care
• Comfortable with medication administration, wound care basics, and documentation in an electronic charting system
• Local candidate only (Notes: Local ONLY) — must be able to commute to Santa Fe without relocation

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical/Vocational Nursing program (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to recognize changes in resident status
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with long-term care/rehabilitation routines and regulatory requirements
• Clear communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and providers
• Time management skills for efficient overnight shift workflows
