Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM Day (12.5-hour day shift, AP)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, prioritizing dignity and comfort
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes in condition promptly
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care teams to deliver coordinated care
Perform thorough and timely documentation, including shift reports and care plans
Support infection control practices and maintain a safe environment
Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as needed to promote independence
Participate in patient education and family communication to support outcomes

Qualifications

Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or eligible for licensure
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Comfortable with medication administration, charting, and basic clinical procedures
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Local candidates preferred (LOCAL ONLY assignment)

Education

LPN/Vocational Nursing diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and vital signs monitoring
Medication preparation and administration
Accurate electronic and paper charting
Basic wound care and infection prevention
Time management across long, focused shifts
Patient-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
