Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating schedule, variable days (Monday–Sunday as assigned). Primary shift windows: 6:45 AM - 4:00 PM or 6:45 AM - 11:15 PM based on department needs; typically scheduled 40 hours/week with possibility of 32 hours during holidays. Includes 24/7 on-call rotation (average 1-2x/week) with up to 2 weekends/month and a 20-minute callback requirement. Rotating (day/night).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub independently for endoscopy procedures and maintain high standards of sterile technique
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical instruments for GI cases
• Assist with turnover cleaning to keep rooms efficient and ready for the next patient
• Safely transport patients to and from the GI lab when needed
• Respond promptly to on-call requests and be ready to return calls within the 20-minute callback window
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and techs to ensure smooth case flow and excellent patient care
• Document case details and equipment usage accurately and communicate any issues clearly

Qualifications

• State of Hawaii license required by the start of the assignment; candidates not currently licensed must apply upon acceptance
• Minimum 2 years of experience scrubbing cases in a hospital setting, with demonstrable endoscopy experience
• Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and weekend coverage as part of the team
• Familiarity with turnover cleaning, patient transport, and maintaining sterile technique
