Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages with confidence and compassion
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Collaborate closely with trauma teams and physicians during Level 1 and Level 2 activations
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor critical patients according to protocols
• Document care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain excellence
• Support teammates during high-acuity moments and contribute to a positive department culture

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (ability to verify license/certification)
• BLS and ACLS required
• TNCC required; PALS or ENPC required
• Experience in Emergency Department (ED) nursing with Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, respirator evaluation, immunizations, and 10-panel drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing and trauma care knowledge
• Proficient in ACLS and BLS protocols and rapid response skills
• Skilled in triage, critical thinking, and prioritization under pressure
• Effective communication and teamwork during high-acuity events
• Comfortable with ED documentation and skills verification processes
