Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients holistically — physical, emotional, psychosocial and family support needs
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care using the nursing process
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans to help patients meet their goals
• Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement total patient care
• Monitor telemetry and tele-cardiac data closely and respond quickly to changes
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic to keep the care team aligned
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (LARA and/or Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience — TELE CARDIAC experience required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Recent traveler experience highly preferred
• Completed Skills Checklist (current to 1 year) relevant to Telemetry (required)
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (required)
• Complete work history and ability to meet facility submission/scheduling requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and Tele Cardiac monitoring expertise
• Strong patient assessment and patient evaluation skills
• Care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Solid command of the nursing process and clinical documentation
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record
• Critical thinking, rapid clinical decision-making, and clear communication
