Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shift hours
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate care
• Float to other areas as needed to support staffing and continuity of care
• Contribute to a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to ensure excellent handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Pennsylvania required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable working nights and providing care across different units (will float as needed)
• Reliable, professional, and patient-focused approach to clinical care
• Every-other-weekend availability as part of the scheduling requirement

Education

• LPN diploma or practical nursing certificate (required)
• High school diploma or GED (typical prerequisite)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Solid patient assessment and vital sign monitoring abilities
• Familiarity with basic wound care, infection control, and bedside procedures
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and prioritization skills
• Clear communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
• Experience with electronic health record documentation (or ability to learn quickly)
