Location: Bowie, MD
Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift (days to be confirmed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, preserving dignity and independence
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and grooming
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate observations to nursing staff
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Accurately document care and vital signs in the resident record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create a warm, person-centered environment
- Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect residents and staff
- Participate in training and continuous improvement to sharpen your caregiving skills
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) in good standing
- State registration or licensure as required by Maryland regulations
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable working with older adult populations and those with cognitive or mobility challenges
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved GNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and person-centered approaches
- Basic skills in taking vital signs and observing clinical changes
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families and team members
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Familiarity with basic documentation practices and electronic charting
