Location: Bowie, MD
Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (specific days to be confirmed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with daily living tasks and dignity-preserving support
- Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility and feeding while observing and reporting changes in condition
- Perform routine documentation and follow care plans to ensure continuity of care
- Support a calm, safe and respectful environment for residents and families
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high quality geriatric care
- Help with safe transfers and use of assistive devices, promoting independence whenever possible
Qualifications
- Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working overnight hours and supporting an older adult population
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
- Ability to pass any required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Skill in assisting with activities of daily living and safe patient handling
- Ability to observe, document and communicate resident changes clearly
- Familiarity with infection control practices and facility safety protocols
- Team-oriented approach and flexibility to respond to changing resident needs
