Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and grooming
- Support safe mobility and transfers while promoting resident independence
- Monitor and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
- Take and record basic vital signs and observations accurately
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care that preserves dignity
- Document care provided in line with facility policies and standards
- Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with the care team and communicate with families as appropriate
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Comfortable working the 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shift
- Compassionate attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to follow care plans and facility protocols
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding and required health screenings
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic geriatric care and resident dignity
- Skill assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Basic vital signs monitoring and observation skills
- Accurate documentation and time management
- Infection control best practices and safe patient handling
- Teamwork, empathy and clear communication
