Location: Bowie, MD
Shift Type: Evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, days to be confirmed (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and grooming with dignity and respect
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care for older adults and support their comfort and safety
- Help with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Observe and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly to support quality care
- Assist with meals and feeding as needed, monitoring intake and resident needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident interactions
- Support a warm, homelike environment by engaging residents in conversation and meaningful activities
- Follow infection control practices and facility policies to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (Class: GNA) — required
- State registration or certification as required by Maryland regulations — verify during application
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Demonstrated comfort and experience working with geriatric populations preferred
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience with assistance in ADLs and mobility support
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Familiarity with documentation and reporting in a long-term care setting
- Ability to recognize and report changes in resident condition
- Good interpersonal skills for engaging with residents and families
- Comfort working as part of an interdisciplinary care team
