Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents, focusing on dignity and safety
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor residents’ conditions, report changes promptly, and collaborate with the care team
- Perform skilled nursing tasks and assist with activities of daily living as needed
- Educate residents and families about care plans and health maintenance
- Support smooth shift handoffs with clear, concise documentation and communication
- Contribute to a positive, resident-centered culture and help mentor junior staff
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alabama (required)
- Clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a collaborative care team
- Ability to work the posted rotating 12-hour day shift pattern
Education
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Resident assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Wound care basics and infection control procedures
- Electronic charting and clear clinical documentation
- Prioritization, delegation, and time management on busy shifts
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
