Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient condition, recognizing changes and escalating concerns promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and carry out patient-centered care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and in a timely manner
- Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during their stay
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting colleagues and assisting with unit needs
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse license (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) — RN preferred
- Clinical experience in acute care or related settings is a plus (experience not specifically listed)
- Ability and willingness to work overnight 12+ hour shifts as scheduled
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or Associate/Bachelor of Nursing program)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and monitoring skills
- Safe medication administration and attention to detail
- Comfortable with electronic charting and clear documentation
- Excellent patient and family communication, with an emphasis on empathy
- Teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
