Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the assigned unit
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status accurately and timely
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to physician orders and facility policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow individualized care plans
• Monitor patient progress and escalate changes in condition to providers promptly
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate electronic charting and adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or compact RN license as applicable
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (facility may require specific certifications)
• Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts and provide dependable coverage for assigned schedule
• Professional approach, strong communication skills and a patient-centered mindset

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ASN/BSN preferred where applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and patient advocacy skills
