Shift Type: Days vary, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to older adults—assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Monitor and accurately document vital signs and any changes in resident condition
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and fall-prevention practices
- Follow individualized care plans and promptly report concerns to the nursing team
- Support residents’ emotional and social needs through conversation and engagement
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection-control standards
Qualifications
- Valid Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification — you’ll need this to shine in the role
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
- High school diploma or GED (or working toward it)
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by the facility
- Strong communication, teamwork, and observational skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered approaches
- Proficient in basic patient care tasks and ADLs (activities of daily living)
- Competent in taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Comfortable with basic documentation; familiarity with electronic charting is a plus
- Good problem recognition—know when to escalate changes in condition
