Location: Bowie, Maryland
Shift Type: Days vary, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (Night shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) to promote dignity and comfort
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers, using proper techniques to protect residents and yourself
- Measure, record, and report vital signs and any changes in condition promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
- Document care accurately and timely to support continuity and quality of care
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and families about resident needs and changes
- Support social and recreational activities to enhance resident well-being
- Participate in team huddles, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required) — your core credential for this role
- State nursing assistant registration if applicable for Maryland
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained promptly upon hire
- Compassionate nature, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to complete required screenings and background checks
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Geriatric Nursing Assistant program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and respect for older adults
- Patient safety and fall prevention techniques
- Basic infection control practices and hand hygiene
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy
- Good time management, observation, and documentation skills
