Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Support safe and timely transfers and mobility assistance, helping reduce falls and promote independence
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident observations accurately and promptly
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents and their families
• Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff and document care in the chart
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful living environment for all residents

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with resident care, including lifting and standing for extended periods

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with activities of daily living and basic resident care
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe handling of linens
• Strong observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Teamwork and clear communication with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Good time management to balance multiple resident needs during a shift
