Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and compassion
- Support safe mobility and transfers; help residents move, ambulate, and use assistive devices
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ status to the nursing team to ensure timely care
- Document care delivered accurately and promptly in resident records
- Provide friendly companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to support emotional well-being
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to maintain a safe environment
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
- Comfortable with patient handling and basic lifting; ability to assist with physical tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with resident care and ADLs
- Basic understanding of infection control practices and safety procedures
- Ability to observe, record, and report changes in resident condition
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with older adults
- Familiarity with handoff communication and working in interdisciplinary teams
