Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the assigned area
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs regularly
• Document patient care, changes, and communications clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans
• Educate patients and families about care, medications, and discharge instructions
• Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures
• Respond professionally and calmly to patient needs and clinical changes

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — valid in New Mexico
• Clinical experience in acute or outpatient settings is a plus (no specific years required in posting)
• Current basic certifications as required by facility (ask your recruiter about BLS/other requirements)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Education

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN)
• For RNs on the team: ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program (if applying as RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and basic treatment procedures
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and basic computer skills
• Good clinical judgment, organization, and time management
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient-focused bedside manner
