Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents by assisting with activities of daily living
- Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in resident charts and care plans
- Support a safe, clean, and dignified environment for all residents
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other staff to enhance resident comfort and quality of life
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required)
- Current basic life support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and personal care tasks
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and dignity-focused care
- Familiarity with documentation and basic charting practices
- Basic infection control and safety procedures
- Teamwork, time management, and effective communication skills
