Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the nursing team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Coordinate patient assignments and staffing to maintain smooth unit operations
- Coach and mentor staff, fostering a learning environment and strong teamwork
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory standards and best practices
- Oversee documentation, medication administration and clinical workflows
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care and discharge planning
- Drive continuous improvement efforts and help resolve operational challenges
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (WV license or compact RN where applicable)
- Experience in nursing supervision or leadership roles
- Availability to work the posted schedule (daily day shift coverage)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN or BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and prioritization skills to guide the team
- Leadership and delegation for effective team management
- Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical records
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in acute/long-term care
- Ability to coach staff, provide constructive feedback and support performance improvement
