Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document care and observations clearly and timely to support continuity and quality of care
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, building trusting relationships
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Travel CNA experience or previous long-term care experience is a plus
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet health screening requirements
• Comfort working a 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shift and participating in every-other-weekend rotation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable, professional attitude with a focus on patient dignity and safety

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, transfers
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Accurate charting and documentation
• Observation skills to identify changes in resident condition
• Effective verbal and interpersonal communication with residents and team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
