Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents as a certified nursing assistant
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with families and staff
- Support infection control practices and help maintain a safe, clean environment
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered attention and dignity
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
- Active or eligible to obtain CNA certification in Maine
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
- Background check and drug screen clearance as required by facility
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident-focused care and bedside manner
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Good observation and communication skills to report changes quickly
- Reliable time management and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
