Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality general radiography exams, including portable X-ray imaging using GE Optima and GE Proteus systems
- Conduct diagnostic ultrasound exams across specialties: abdomen, small parts, OBGYN, and vascular
- Operate and optimize GE Logiq 10 ultrasound and Konica Minolta DR panels to capture diagnostic images
- Manage image storage and retrieval using NovaPacs and document imaging in Cerner/Community Works EMR
- Provide compassionate patient care, clear communication, and education to patients and families
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage for occasional weekends as scheduled
- Contribute to equipment care, quality assurance, and radiation safety practices
Qualifications
- Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or state equivalent certification/registration
- ARDMS General Ultrasound certification required, with competency in abdomen, small parts, OBGYN, and vascular exams
- Experience performing general radiology (X-ray) exams and diagnostic ultrasound in a clinical setting
- Familiarity with GE Logiq 10, GE Optima portable, GE Proteus, Konica Minolta DR panels, Cerner EMR, and NovaPacs preferred
- Echo experience is a plus but not required
- Must have reliable personal transportation to and from the Wolf Point facility
- Able to work in a critical access, rural hospital environment and adapt to variable scheduling
Education
- Associate degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent)
- State licensure/registration as a Radiology Technologist and ARDMS General Ultrasound certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in ultrasound image acquisition and optimization (abdomen, small parts, OBGYN, vascular)
- Strong radiography technique and portable X-ray operation
- Comfortable using PACS (NovaPacs) and EMR systems (Cerner/Community Works)
- Good patient positioning, infection control, and radiation safety practices
- Clear interpersonal and communication skills — work well with patients, providers, and a small team
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and participate in QA processes
