Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical function and develop personalized treatment plans focused on orthopedic recovery
• Deliver hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to restore mobility and reduce pain
• Provide high-quality post-operative rehabilitation for orthopedic surgery patients, including safe progression plans
• Document patient progress clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and self-management strategies
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the care team to coordinate excellent patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive clinic environment

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Colorado or eligible to obtain Colorado licensure
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon start
• Experience or strong interest in orthopedics and post-operative rehabilitation
• Comfortable with both 5x8 and 4x10 scheduling and occasional Saturday coverage
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in orthopedic assessment and post-operative rehab protocols
• Proficient with therapeutic exercise prescription and manual therapy techniques
• Familiarity with common rehab modalities and progressive loading strategies
• Comfortable documenting in EMR and tracking outcome measures
• Strong patient education and motivational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
