Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic and screening breast ultrasound exams using established protocols
- Optimize imaging techniques and document findings accurately to support timely clinical decisions
- Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient care
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered communication and education before, during, and after exams
- Maintain accurate records, images, and documentation in the imaging system
- Adhere to safety and infection-control standards while operating ultrasound equipment
- Support workflow efficiency by communicating clearly with scheduling and clinical staff
Qualifications
- RDMS certification required with a BR credential (breast specialty)
- Current ARDMS certification and current BLS certification required
- Proven breast imaging/sonography experience — comfortable with diagnostic and screening workflows
- Ability to work Monday–Friday with some Saturday coverage as needed
- Comfortable joining a temporary travel assignment and working effectively in a new clinical environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong breast sonography skills and familiarity with breast imaging protocols
- Proficient at patient positioning, image acquisition, and quality optimization
- Excellent interpersonal skills; calm and compassionate with anxious patients
- Clear documentation and image archiving practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and administrative staff
- Attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy
