Shift Type: Mostly day shift, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM; schedule varies based on department needs (primarily weekdays) with every third weekend coverage, call requirement 10-12 days/month, and holiday rotation as needed (Day shift with rotating weekends and on-call responsibilities)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field and set up neurosurgical instrumentation with care and precision
- Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently to keep cases moving smoothly
- Perform Trinity specialty competency tasks and participate in required testing to maintain high standards
- Assist with room turnover and equipment readiness between cases to maximize OR efficiency
- Participate in call and weekend coverage as scheduled to support patient care continuity
- Follow all hospital policies for infection control, vaccination, drug screening, and health documentation
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- BLS certification required
- Previous neurosurgery experience preferred and highly valued
- License and certificate verification required per facility policy
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity specialty competency testing as part of credentialing
- Current immunizations and health screening (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hep B, influenza, varicella, Tdap, 2-step PPD or IGRA), and successful drug screen
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with neurosurgical instruments, supplies, and procedures
- Strong sterile technique and OR protocol knowledge
- Ability to work effectively on-call and respond reliably during assigned call days
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and techs
- Comfort with competency testing and ongoing skills validation processes
