Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography exams with accuracy and compassion
• Prepare patients and equipment for 12-hour day shift procedures
• Collaborate closely with cardiology staff and other care team members
• Document findings clearly and deliver timely, high-quality images and reports
• Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and equipment cleanliness
• Complete required competency exams and specialty skills checklists
• Ensure license and certification verification is up to date

Qualifications

• Echo Tech experience and availability to work per diem 3x12 day shifts
• Current BLS certification (required)
• DCI/BVP certification or equivalent (required)
• License/Certificate Verification completed prior to assignment
• Ability to complete Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Willingness to meet health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, varicella, Tdap, and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of echocardiography imaging protocols and cardiac anatomy
• Proficiency in patient positioning and obtaining diagnostic-quality images
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot echo equipment
• Good communication skills for working with patients and the cardiology team
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment during 12-hour day shifts
