Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms closely to detect changes and intervene early
• Deliver compassionate med/surg nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform procedures such as phlebotomy and wound care with precision and attention to detail
• Provide tracheostomy and NG tube management safely and confidently
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech EMR and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and charge nurses to maintain a 1:5 patient ratio and excellent patient outcomes
• Support discharge planning and patient education to help patients transition home with confidence

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (eligible to practice in Texas preferred)
• At least 2 years of nursing experience — telemetry or med/surg strongly preferred
• BLS certification required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and telemetry patient care
• Comfortable performing phlebotomy, wound care, tracheostomy care, and NG tube management
• Ability to work night shifts and provide open schedule availability including every other weekend
• Team-player attitude, strong communication skills, and a positive, patient-first mindset
