Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Prepare the OR and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to coordinate care
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and escalate concerns promptly
• Participate in night and weekend on-call coverage to support urgent surgical needs
• Document care accurately and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in the OR

Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse) with demonstrated Operating Room experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in perioperative or OR nursing
• Comfortable with on-call responsibilities, including nights and weekends
• Experience as a travel nurse or willingness to work travel assignments is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative nursing knowledge and operating room processes
• Proficiency with sterile technique and surgical instrumentation workflow
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced OR environment
• Ability to adapt to rotating schedules and travel assignments
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
