Shift Type: Rotating nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight); schedule includes weekends — staff required to work 6 weekend days per schedule; 13-week travel assignment

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to oncology and women’s surgical patients
- Perform assessments and provide clinical interventions appropriate to a 24-bed oncology unit
- Support procedures such as occasional pelvic exams, echo monitoring, and thoracentesis
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Cerner to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain safe patient ratios (typically 1:4 or 1:5) and prioritize patient safety
- Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and the interdisciplinary team to create a positive patient experience
- Adapt to unit guidelines and hospital policies while serving as a reliable team player
Qualifications
- Active RN license (license RN/CNA acceptable as listed); current profile required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
- Chemo certification preferred (candidates with chemo experience will be prioritized)
- Experience with Cerner or other EMR systems is a strong plus
- Comfortable working in a med-surg/oncology setting with occasional procedural assistance
Knowledge & Skills
- Oncology nursing fundamentals and patient safety practices
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR workflows and documentation
- Basic skills for assisting/monitoring echo and thoracentesis procedures
- Ability to perform or assist with pelvic exams as needed
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
- Comfort managing patient loads consistent with 1:4 or 1:5 ratios
