Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts; schedule includes every other weekend; specific days vary — must be available to float to other units)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor telemetry patients continuously, interpreting rhythms and responding appropriately
- Administer medications and manage medication drips safely and accurately
- Care for post-procedure patients including heart cath recovery and those with central lines
- Maintain and troubleshoot IV pumps, chest tubes and other unit equipment
- Document patient care clearly and efficiently using Meditech
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including RNs and PCTs, to deliver coordinated care
- Provide patient and family education with empathy and clear communication
- Actively contribute to a positive patient experience through critical thinking and teamwork
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kansas or compact eligible recommended)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, ideally in telemetry, Med-Surg or PCU
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and caring for patients post cardiac cath preferred
- Comfortable managing central lines, medication drips, IV pumps and chest tubes
- Proficiency with Meditech or similar EMR systems
- Ability to float to other units and work every other weekend as scheduled
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry rhythm recognition and interpretation skills
- Medication drip management and infusion pump competency
- Familiarity with post–cardiac procedure recovery care
- Skilled in IV line and chest tube care
- Excellent clinical documentation skills in Meditech
- Solid critical thinking, prioritization and teamwork abilities
- Patient-centered communication and education skills
