Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess telemetry patients continuously to catch changes early and act decisively
• Administer and titrate medication drips safely and accurately
• Perform and assist with EEGs and bubble studies as required for neuro medical patients
• Document patient care and clinical findings in Meditech to ensure clear handoffs and continuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Provide compassionate patient and family education focused on recovery and safety

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in Kansas or ability to obtain temporary license for travel assignment
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience, telemetry experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and Meditech EMR preferred
• Comfortable managing medication drips, Kangaroo pumps, EEGs and bubble studies

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record workflows
• Skill in IV medication administration and drip management
• Familiarity with neuro medical unit procedures including EEG and bubble studies
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize multiple patients
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
