Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor telemetry patients, interpreting cardiac rhythms and notifying providers of changes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders and protocols
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document timely, clear notes in the electronic chart
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in code and rapid response processes
- Educate patients and families on condition, treatments, and discharge instructions with empathy
- Maintain unit safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance at all times
- Support unit flow by triaging admissions, discharges, and patient transitions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kansas (or compact/multi-state RN license as accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience (direct patient care experience on telemetry-focused units)
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or must obtain per facility requirements
- Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screen
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
- Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to unit-specific scheduling
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment
- Comfortable using common EHR systems for documentation and medications
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization in high-acuity situations
- Effective teamwork, patient education, and bedside manner
