Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and assess changes in rhythm to keep patients safe
• Manage complex IV therapies including medication drips and titrations
• Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, and PCA/IV pumps with precision
• Provide post-heart catheterization recovery care and focused assessments
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Meditech to support continuity
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and educate patients and families
• Use strong critical thinking to prioritize care in a fast-paced telemetry unit

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (able to practice in the assignment state)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (telemetry or acute care experience preferred)
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Experience with Meditech is a plus
• Comfortable with PCA pumps, IV pumps, central lines, chest tubes, and medication drips

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Familiarity with PCA and IV pump management
• Skilled in caring for central lines and chest tubes
• Experience with post-heart cath recovery and related protocols
• Strong documentation skills in electronic medical records (Meditech)
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities
• Positive attitude, independence, and engagement on shift
