Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends, 12:45 PM - 1:15 AM (12.5-hour evening/night rotation), every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care in a high-volume ED
- Provide emergency nursing care including cardiac monitoring and advanced interventions
- Document patient care clearly and efficiently in Cerner
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate timely, patient-centered care
- Coach and give real-time feedback to colleagues to strengthen team performance
- Use AIDET and other patient communication practices to ensure exceptional patient experience
- Operate unit equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors safely and competently
- Participate in unit-specific policies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS prior to start date; PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS required before start; ENPC within 90 days
- Comfortable working all areas of the ED and adapting to varied patient ratios
- Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and deliver constructive feedback
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner documentation system
- Skilled in triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency procedures
- Familiarity with Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitoring systems
- Effective verbal and written communication using AIDET principles
- Ability to manage high patient volumes and maintain situational awareness
- Culturally sensitive care; experience serving diverse, multi-lingual populations
