Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients and their families
• Manage ventilators and advanced life support equipment including CRRT, SLED, EVD, and EV1000
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures such as central and arterial line insertions, lumbar punctures, and chest tube insertions
• Monitor patient hemodynamics, interpret data, and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately and timely in Meditech
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards in a busy 31-bed MICU
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by providing attentive and compassionate care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Proven experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Comfortable with ICU procedures including central and arterial lines, EVD, CRRT, SLED, and chest tubes
• Experience using Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
• Ability to work nights, meet weekend staffing requirements, and float when needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care knowledge and the ability to prioritize in high-acuity situations
• Ventilator management and advanced airway understanding
• Familiarity with CRRT, SLED, EVD systems, and EV1000 monitoring
• Skill in performing and supporting invasive procedures safely
• Accurate clinical documentation and medication administration
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and bedside manner
• Ability to adapt to changing patient ratios and staffing needs
