Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to PCU patients with confidence
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry, acting quickly on changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely

Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Tennessee (compact license accepted if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of RN clinical experience; PCU or progressive care experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Current CPR certification and demonstrated medication administration competency
• Comfort and experience working with telemetry and higher-acuity patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Proficient in IV therapy, medication administration, and infusion management
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization abilities
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced PCU environment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
