Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; rotating night schedule (varies) — typically includes every 3rd weekend

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor PCU patients with focused attention on cardiac status and telemetry
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Primacor, Dopamine) safely and confidently
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient-focused care plans
- Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families about diagnoses and treatments
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Support unit goals by contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license appropriate for practice in Virginia (state-specific licensure required)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (PCU/telemetry or equivalent preferred)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must-have)
- Proven telemetry experience and comfort managing cardiac patients
- Familiarity with cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong time management, teamwork, and prioritization skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Cardiac care and post-surgical patient management
- Administration and titration of inotropic and antiarrhythmic drips
- Effective patient assessment and early recognition of clinical deterioration
- Clear clinical documentation and communication with interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced unit while maintaining patient-centered care
