Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging studies following established CT Head/Spine/Chest/Abdomen/Pelvis protocols
• Execute CTA protocols for chest, neck, and abdomen and assist with occasional CTA cardiac studies
• Operate and optimize the Siemens Somatom Plus 128-slice CT scanner for high-quality diagnostic images
• Use FUJI Synapse PACS and Meditech EMR to document exams and manage image workflow efficiently
• Collaborate closely with ED and inpatient teams to prioritize and accommodate emergent imaging needs
• Provide compassionate patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during CT procedures
• Troubleshoot equipment or workflow issues and apply problem-solving skills to keep the department moving
• Serve as back-up X-ray support when needed, helping maintain smooth department operations

Qualifications

• KSBHA license required (candidates without this license will not be considered)
• Minimum of 2 years CT experience preferred (posting lists 2 years experience)
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
• Comfortable performing a range of CT procedures including stroke protocols and various CTA studies
• Experience or familiarity with Siemens CT scanners preferred
• Familiarity with PACS (FUJI Synapse) and Meditech EMR a plus
• Willingness to support X-ray duties when required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of CT imaging principles and CT protocol execution
• Experience with CTA protocols (chest, neck, abdomen; occasional cardiac CTA)
• Proficiency using PACS (FUJI Synapse) and EMR systems (Meditech)
• Familiarity with Siemens Somatom CT hardware and workflow
• Strong patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality optimization skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with ED and inpatient teams
