Shift Type: Rotating schedule (includes every other weekend), 8:45 AM - 9:15 PM, day shift (extended day/evening hours)

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide timely, high-quality emergency nursing care for a diverse, high-volume patient population
- Perform rapid assessments and triage to prioritize care in a busy ED environment
- Manage trauma and stroke patients, applying evidence-based protocols and NIHSS when indicated
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes using GE monitors and unit equipment
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner
- Coach and mentor team members in real time, offering constructive feedback to improve care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient flow and disposition
- Deliver exceptional patient experience using AIDET and consistent communication throughout the visit
Qualifications
- Active RN license (U.S.) required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high-volume ED (>100,000 visits) preferred
- Certifications required prior to start or on hire: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS; ENPC within 90 days of hire
- Comfortable floating to all sections within the ED and working every other weekend
- Previous HCA experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong Cerner documentation skills and electronic charting proficiency
- Triage, trauma care and stroke assessment (NIHSS) knowledge
- Cardiac monitoring experience and familiarity with GE monitors
- Competence with common ED equipment such as Baxter pumps
- Excellent teamwork, coaching, and communication skills
- Patient-experience focus (AIDET, respectful communication, board updates)
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment
